"I Love to Read" Highlights

This has been a busy and fun-filled week in Room 4 while we celebrated "I Love to Read"! Here are a few highlights from our week:

Mrs. Quinn-Lafleche, our division numeracy coach, read us a math story called "Equal Shmequel". We had a math talk about what equal means. Some of our thoughts were: " balanced, the same on both sides, 100 + 100 = 200, "it means altogether".

We also had guest readers from St. James Collegiate visit our classroom to make it a "Musical Monday". They played their instrument, answered questions and read us a story. Mr. Johnson, the band director, read to us too!

We read the story "Only One You" and painted our own "rock fish" to add to a school display when we have our outdoor education week in June.

Today was "Flashlights and Forts" day, where we got to build forts in the library and then read by flashlight. It was a lot of fun!
